Because the factors of evolution and specific adaptation/variation of their species on this whole different planet would yield a different result.

You'd think if they travelled across the universe and actually had the technology to wipe us out that they could make suits fit a little better for agility and speed. :/

If they have the power to travel through space reasonably, then they probably have the power to fight from orbit. They wouldn't need to land, they could just burn our planet.

Well you could imagine it like the Starcraft marine, for reference. Heavy armor with a built in life support system. Also I'd imagine with such advanced tech it would be more of a siege from space. Nonetheless a very intelligent species could simply deploy a biological super virus of some sort to erase their enemy.

I think 2 things:

1.  They will probably be more intelligent than us if they find us, but if we find them, we will most likely be more intelligent.

2.  Some alien single cell organisms probably landed on our planet from meteors already, I would bet.
