Author Topic: Does anyone know of a free video converter?  (Read 1927 times)

I need a free online video converter that supports converting .swf files into either .mp4 or .mov files. Anyone?

I don't mind downloading anything anymore. Keep in mind I have an eMac 10.4.11.

1) That's for Windows and I'm a Mac
2) That's not online. I would like to try and not download anything because my computer is already almost out of memory

Thanks for trying though.

Well, jesus, you could be a little less picky.
I mean, just delete some research of your hard drive.

I found one in like 2 minutes worth of google searches months ago when I was making a youtube video.
Shouldn't be too hard to find a decent one.

I doubt you'd find a free site that would use all its own bandwidth and CPU just so you can upload, convert, then download the video file.
Get an external hard drive and download a program.

They exist. :P

They exist. I've found lots. They just don't support converting Swf files into mp4/mov files.

.swf is very hard to convert into a standard video format properly. If you want to export as a video format directly from Flash, you can't have any objects with their own animations, only frames in the main timeline. If you do, the objects' animations won't play.

It's not a flash video. It's a Jing download because it only gives you the clips that you record in swf files.

http://media-convert.com/ works great, and converts .swf to .mp4 and .mov.
