Someone i know on facepunch is making a mod for Alien Swarm, it will include 40k maps/campaigns, and will replace the characters with space marines.

Guys, whenever I try to play Alien Swarm, it just stays at the loading screen forever. It never loads and the only way to exit it is to restart my computer.

ctrl+alt+delete, open task manager, end the Alien Swarm application.

We definitely know more than the developers.

Kheyre is messing with the sdk, he plans to make a new campaign, it wont be awesome, but it will have its own features.
