Author Topic: Wtf is 4Chan?  (Read 5627 times)

Well, I have seen a bunch of people talk about it, and I don't want to sound like a noob or anything, but what is it?

Some kind of web forum where everybody is anonymous. I don't know much about it, but I do know that contrary to popular belief /b/ is not all of 4chan.

Uh... An image board. It's gotten a bad rep because of /b/ but the other boards are pretty cool. I hang out in /tv/ and /po/

This, I suggest not going to /b/. It's just plain not interesting most of the time, and there can be some slightly disturbing stuff there. You get used to it after a while, if you actually want to stay there a while.

I believe that most of the members are "Hackers". Im only saying of what I heared. :I

He probably knows more about it than some of us here.

It's an image board, popularized by the "random" board, /b/. Also home to Anonymous, also famous for Project Chanology, Habbo raids, hacking, DDOSing, and most recently, this whole Jessica Slaughter thing and the 10 supreme pizzas and a box of wings (a $120 value!) they sent her after retrieving all of her info. They became even more famous after Fox had a special on them and called them terrorists.

Other boards on 4chan are pretty safe, /x/ is pretty neat, but /b/ is the internet hate machine.
