More like 2000; MW4: Mercs is an expansion of MW4: Vengeance, which came out in 2000, and the graphics are nearly identical between the two games.

i think i remember watching this on one of those old G4 gameing shows, the ones where they show you the game, while people are playing

I do too. What was it called? They always used to end the show by playing UT2004 a majority of the time, if not always.
