They are all either WW2 or Modern themed, they all do have FPS gameplay like every other FPS game, the story is crap in my opinion, and they all do have pretty much the same online gameplay as before.
Opinions + facts =/= inventing bullstuff
A. No stuff, Call of Duty is a franchise dedicated to warfare.
B. What do you expect, it's a first person shooter you inept handicap. However, CoD4 was one of the first modern games to incorporate down-sights aiming and extremely lethal combat. It is unique, there was no other game at the time like it. MW2 is a sequel so it's obvious it would carry those traits. Disregard WaW because Treyarch is stuff, but then again Black Ops destroys this point anyway because it's not WW2 or modern, it's set during the Cold War.
C. I assume you mean the MW story, in which case you have absolutely no taste in scriptwriting or haven't taken the time to play through the campaign. I played CoD4 with no expectations back then, I thought it was going to be stuff, actually, but was blown away. It's extremely immersive, and really captures the emotion of the situation, and if the word wasn't so over-used today, I might say "epic".
D. The online play from CoD4 was really as unique as it gets. Games like Halo 3 tried different XP systems for ranking, but CoD4 really brought something new to the table. The online play is anything but generic.
Finally, MW2 is a sequel. If you're trying to argue that a sequel should be different from the predecessor, you're an idiot. Try to actually brown townyze and develop your own opinion.
