Maybe if you got so much money that you paid a bunch of players to defend your system and fight for you, sure.

This game's freedom kind of reminds me of Darkfall's freedom. But this is freckin space :D

Well yea but in theory its infinity, seeing how no one will ever get that far. And if they do they have a system that creates planets automatically, so they could always expand it.
