Author Topic: Weapon Airdrop Marker  (Read 1544 times)

So basically, I have an idea for an item that you throw like a grenade, and it signals a drop of some random weapon(s).

How it would work:

1. Pick up the airdrop marker

2. Hold the fire button the pull the pin

3. Let go, throwing it where you want the weapon(s) to be dropped.

4. Wait for the helicopter to drop the weapons

5. Enjoy!

Features that should be included:

1. A small colored smoke effect that emits after the marker is thrown, and stops when the helicopter is over it.

2. A RTB preferences menu in which you can set what weapons are able and not able to drop, also a system to tell what weapons will be dropped most often, can adjust the amount of weapons on the multiple weapon marker, and the height from which the helicopter drops the weapons.

3. 2 separate markers, a single marker which gives a single weapon, and a marker which drops in multiple weapons based on the RTB preferences.

4. A helicopter animation which flies over the marker from a random direction and drops the weapon(s) in a tight group from the height that was specified in RTB preferences.

So basically like the item drop event but in a weapon?

With possible randomness, it would be good for certain TDMS and some other games.

Inb4mw2cigarette xD (No I don't think that myself but it's bound to come up)

I actually got this idea off of Mercenaries 2 and Just Cause 2. If I would have copied it off MW2, it would have some ridiculous air support or super weapon.

Not necessarily, in MW2, you can get ... uh forgot the name, anyways it's either ammo or something else good. Oh, care package I think was the word.

But it drops weapons, not some overpowered kill streak.

Yes because each care package drops an AC-130 or Chopper gunner in the game.

Every time I play and an enemy gets a care package, there seems to be a 3/4 chance that it's a harrier strike or more powerful killstreak.

Lol uh-huh, Dodger.

We need to play again.
