Author Topic: Question about The Alphabet  (Read 2253 times)

You can say the alphabet forwards and backwards... but what about sideways?

The alphabet can be expressed forwards and backwards as it exists as a 1d array of sorts. To say it sideways would be the same as asking someone to define a 2-dimensional square's depth. It cannot be done.

A possibility I see to this is creating an alternate parallel alphabet, such as a print alphabet and a cursive alphabet, but then you could only go 1 letter deep into each and it would sound like "A A" and not be any bit impressive at all.

Haha well said.

sideways? you tell me

A1 B2 C3 D4 E5 F6 G7 H8 I9 J10 K11 L12 M13 |Middle point| N14 O15 P16 Q17 R18 S19 T20 U21 V22 W23 X24 Y25 Z26

I have a theory:

Above goes to

M1 N2 L3 O4 K5 P6 J7 Q8 I9 R10 H11 S12 G13 T14 F15 U16 E17 V18 D19 W20 C21 X22 B23 Y24 A25 Z26

Take the middle of the alphabet (the two middle letters) and arrange them as such:

A25 B23 C21 D19 E17 F15 G13 H11 I9 J7 K5 L3 M1(Start with M) |Middle Point| N2 O4 P6 Q8 R10 S12 T14 U16 V18 W20 X22 Y24 Z26

M to the left gets all odd numbers
N to the right gets all even numbers

I hope you guys understand this as I do.

This, except I probably would've used more words because I suck at explaining things.
See, like that.

if only it made sense!
that's not sideways, that's just saying the alphabet from the middle out.
