The whole point of email authentication is that you can't change your password and email without your (old) email accepting is.

Password farming. There's a fake website that looks like the steam website sorta that asks for your password.

Not if they change your password. I guess there's some way to recover your profile but judging how Thamos got hacked in the first place... I'm not sure if he can figure it out... :/

Thomas probably fell for a link like that, they got his password and now most likely have a bot logged into him which will send that kind of message to his friends and such. It's not hacking, it's just you (and him) giving your password away.

What do you mean me? I'm familiar with password farming websites and obviously I didn't fall for it. I did click on the link but once I paid attention to the url and saw it was asking for my password, I quickly closed the browser.
