Borderlands Character Problem

Whenever I start up Borderlands, I can select my character normally, but then it takes me to the opening sequence about Pandora, thinking my character is new. This just happened out of the blue. Any help? :/

It would be better if you sent a email to the develepors, 2k games. They will know alot more then a blocklander dose.
