Author Topic: The Weapons Stereotype Thread  (Read 118915 times)

I'm talking internally, I find both guns ugly so that's what I said the g36 looks slightly better than it, I'm not saying they look anything alike.
It sounded like you were comparing them, and I was like "wait what"

This is all true. thanks.

Also, Is this the Old Masterrifle?

Master rifle what?

Seriously I hate how kids today get their gun knowledge... I mean i was exposed to guns when I was young but now I know how to recognize and describe a gun (well my descriptions are a little rusty anyways) but the way movies and video games portray guns is totally idiotic. Thanks for making this thread to clear those myths up!

i used to research guns and stuff all loving day so i could impress my friends with my knowledge

except nowadays when I bring up some fun facts on a gun, the dipstuffs I talk to often go on and on about MW2, and if I talked about how stuffty a certain gun is, they're all, 'THATS THE BEST GUN IN MW2 OGM!!!!'

Looks like the Type 96
My airsoft gun is modeled after the type 96 supposedly, but the type 96 IRL gun looks nothing like it.

Hm. Apparently, my gun is modeled after the AWM.

My gun is modeled after the L96, idk how i got that mixed up with type. L96 and AWM look pretty similar.

I know some about guns, but I could use some more knowledge
A dust cover does what exactly?
Isn't it where the spent bullet cartridge comes out?

How's the Deagle, Did it fly away yet?

The L96 is the AWM.

Uh, the L96 IS an AW, just an early 1980's model.

A dust cover covers the receiver and protects it from dust. Hence the name. The breech is the gap where the spent casing is ejected, it is ejected FROM the chamber.

I have not fired my Desert Eagle yet.

You darn Americans and your guns.

I realized I'm 11 and i know just about everything here.

Wtf?

Wtf?
Probably because it was just explained to you after reading this.

Also, just a general question. Does a carbine, aside from being lighter due to the shorter barrel, have any advantages over a traditional rifle?

This is a bit off-topic, but Kaje's Shotgun Add-On has the most realistic spread I've seen. :o

Carbines are much more useful in Close quarter situations such as house to house fighting and thick vegetation. But they lack the effective range and in a lot of cases the velocity is much less. I like them because they're more compact.
