IT TAKES PLACE IN THE loving 60'S

To all those who argue on video games, there's a bunch of things that aren't realistic because they literally can't make it that way.

i play airsoft and i use dual semi-auto pistols. it took me a year to get used to them and they are a bitch to reload so i usually only use them if i'm running for cover or something that doesn't involve reloading under fire. i also hate it when people in movies dodge a bullet. the only way you can dodge a bullet is if you duck or jump BEFORE he shoots. it's a bullet, unless it's a pistol from a forgetload away you would have to duck in less than a second to avoid it. and snipers are a bitch. people think that a sniper is pick up and instant headshots, snipers are loving hard to use. you have to account for the wind and gravity.

The H&K G11 is a prototype caseless assault rifle.

if it goes into that big wooden box then it is in a case, or is that just to keep it safe from something?

That's not wood, that's the propellant. It uses a solid, molded propellant, as opposed to gunpowder.

No, you can't deflect bullets with a sword either. It's simply physiologically impossible for a human to react quickly enough to put a blade in front of a bullet.
Unless you get very lucky, of course.

ah, so what looks like wood is actually an explosive wood like material? i want a log of that stuff to leave in people's fireplace..

or you know exactly where he will shoot and you put a cobalt blade in it's path.

Both of these situations are so absurdly unlikely they shouldn't even be considered relatively plausible.

If you held a sword up trying to deflect a bullet against a single Shotgun Slug, probably only 1/5 of the slugs would be blocked, and the rest would penetrate your upper body. You know, I would expect the blade to break off, so the sword situation is just impossible.

More like 0/5 would be blocked.
1. Trying to shoot something as thick as a hair is extremely difficult, even for marksman. Relying on luck in that situation would be like relying on god (tip: you're going to get shot).
2. A shotgun slug is huge, if the blade didn't break first, it would shear the slug in half (also assuming you have enough strength to resist the impact force of a bullet, but not block it. You'd still get hit.
3. More likely, the blade would break immediately and you'd have shrapnel inside you along with a bullet.
4. The force off of the slug would cause your arms to recoil if it collided with the sword, so now you've got a sword in your face.

I say again, the chances of you surviving a gunshot by blocking it with a sword are so microscopically low it shouldn't even be considered plausible.

I always thought they blocked with the flat sides of swords in media, not the cutting edges?

P.S: The FN SCAR has been shelved because it's a useless piece of stuff and breaks. (Like the SA80 before H&Gay fixed it, and even then it's still stuff, why no .280 british?)

Lets not forget how generic it is for headshots to pour out blood. This doesn't happen because the bullet is like a stopper on a bottle.

Source? I know for a fact that he MK16 was shelved but not because it's bad but because it has little advantage over the M4, the MK17 is still in use by SOCOM.
