Author Topic: I hate Michael Cera  (Read 4463 times)

Every one of Michael Cera's movies are the same "socially awkward teenager finds perfect girl and battles against hoards of douches, getting in touch with his inner badass in the process" that older-teen hipsters live vicariously through because they're too lame to go near a female.

And then there's the fans of his movies (I know there will be some below) who continue to spout the same "you just don't understand the subtle symbolism" or "well excuse me for not liking movies with nothing but tits and guns every 5 seconds" bullstuff that they use to justify their poor taste in movies by cutting down people who don't buy into his stuff.

Michael Cera is one part of the cancerous tumor that is killing the movie industry (along with Michael Bay and M. Night Shamalammadingdong) he plays the same role in every movie he is in, and I see him as the next Nick Cage.

Michael Cera is a push over in every movie.

You can't deny that he certainly plays that role well.

And there's actually a reason for his quiet voice. He had some surgery that forgeted up his ability to open his mouth wide enough to take a full bite out of a sandwich or something

No I can't deny he plays his role well but his role isn't worth playing.

I liked Year 1 and Juno, but Juno was mainly good because the chick is a really good actress and Year 1 had Jack Black, which is enough to make it good as far as I'm concerned.

but yeah, he always plays the same character. he's really not a very good actor, he's really way too softspoken and therefore he can only play one role.

he's popular because he always plays a likeable character.

year 1 sucked... superbad was probably his best movie.

but yeah, i was watching an interview with him and i think jonah hill, and he explained why he's always so quiet

I never saw superbad because when it came out, I was too young and my parents wouldn't let me :[

maybe I'll rent it some time, or catch it on TV.

Don't bother watching it on TV unless it's on HBO or something, otherwise it's too much censored. :P

It's good though.

I like him.

I saw the unrated one once at a friends house lol.

My girlfriend is making me watch Juno--tips/suggestions? I dunno, just for the sake of asking.

Don't. It wasn't interesting at all and was just moody music and since I played Red Alert 3 I couldn't stop thinking about it since the guy who played the Allied president in the game is the father in the movie.

Tip/Suggestion: Get the brain removed from your right hand.
