Author Topic: Glass spinning door.  (Read 3441 times)

This door is usually seen in malls and airports. It has four doors shaped like a plus or and x and it spins around either clockwise or counter clockwise on a round platform. This would be good for city builds and other things like that.

That's true. For example, would it be a click-to-activate thing like the other doors? Because then it would only go for one rotation and stop, and that's not accurate to the style of the door itself at all. Would it be a constantly rotating door? This would work in theory, but moving parts on a build may look...odd. The concept is great, but implementation would be, well, a pain in the ass.

Maybe when you click it, the interactive content starts rotating, and collision is turned off. That would look good.

It would work like Phydeux's Fan Content perhaps

Absolutely no scripting knowledge here, but instead of being activated, why not have it rotate when the player touches the glass with their body?

Moving collision meshes=Lag

Notice how the JVS doors lose their collision when activated?

That would work wonderfully, actually.

*Facepalm*

Sorry that I didn't spend the 10 seconds to read the rest of the topic...

Anyways, that would be the only way to do it that I can think of.

What the hell happened there?
I'm pretty sure the guy instantly gained a few million kilograms of mass and all the door gravitated towards him.
