You could always just make a Minecraft-themed map, alligned to the brick grid.

Also, I'd say, 1 minecraft brick = 2x2x2

2x2x2? Thats a little small. If anything other than 4x4x4 I'd do a 3x3x3 (Lol for the 234...)

With the protocol, I just realized, we could see people on the minecraft website move around (with uis, of course) by using the position, right? So we could interact with people on a different site... Amazing.

Indeed, it was pretty cool. You can use bots for each other player on the server, and when their position updates, you can just teleport them to their new position or make them walk to it (which is a nice feature of bots). Chatting with people is just as easy: since Blockland already has a chat interface built in, you just need to handle the packets.

Hmm... Yeah, I think 3x3 does fit a  bit better.

Would they be able to see us, or for that matter, even know that we connect to their server in any way? What would they look like to us?
Would we be able to see the chat from the Minecraft server?
Would they see any changes we made to the map? Could we even edit the map in any way? Could we grief them?

Lol, I asked you questions.

Edit:Truce answered 2 of my questions.

I was thinking about that also. Could they ban us? Or could we destroy the hell out of the map and they just see bricks disappearing?

They could ban you and you'd just get some kind of connection error, it wouldn't be a Blockland ban message obviously.

If you broke bricks on your map they should be able to see blocks break on their maps as well and vice versa, assuming you networked everything right.

I don't believe a 3x3x3 cube is exactly possible... Is it?

That makes it the the height of a normal 1x1 brick. Mabey you ment; "3x3x9"

He meant 3x3x3. We don't call 1x1 bricks 1x1x3s.

Hence why you cannot actually SAY 3x3x3 cube.

I didn't think brick height was measured in plates, but I could be wrong

I was kind-of trying to say to make it the same size as 9 1x1x1's arranged into a cube.

...I guess.

If you use models for the bricks , we might as well just play minecraft.

Notch will be angry happy if you do that
