Well the jailbreaking itself isn't the illegal part, it's when you use the torrents to get free apps that makes it illegal. But even with that it doesn't come default when you jailbreak so you have to get it yourself, of course not everyone that jailbreaks their iPod are going to use torrents for free apps. Plus it can be really useful, giving you more custimization, letting you get emulators, letting you get extra features a normal iPod wouldn't have.

They made jailbreaking legal now in the U.S.

you can change the background in ios4

you can change the background in ios4
What the hell.

You have to get something new to change the background?
You can't do it out of the box?

I had updated to the iOS4 and it doesn't give me the wallpaper background for some reason, just the lock screen. And multitasking doesn't work or doesn't show me how to use it or give me any options for it. However it lets me make folders :/ and the bright side is with the jailbreak I can get the background wallpaper to work and I didn't need multitasking anyway. One of the major reasons I upgraded was so I could get apps ment for the OS4.

Edit: Nightfox you can change the lockscreen out of the box if you're talking about the 3rd gen or lower. But if you got the 4th gen it should already come with the ability to set the background for your lockscreen and the icon background.

ios4 is the newest iphone/pod update

That's good.

If I get an iPhone or something, I have plenty of background pictures for it.

Jailbreaking is legal up untill you use Installous to illegally download need-to-pay apps for free (craked, torrent, etc.).

It's conpletely legal, it just voids your warranty and end user liscence agreement (EULA).

Btw, I'm typing on a jailbroken iPhone lolololololol.

I see three spelling mistakes.

One of my friends jailbroke his Ipod touch, and had all kinds of stuff, MW2 backgrounds/killstreaks, it was the stuff.

Also, tell your cousins' mom that it's your IPod, not their's, you can do whatever you want to your own stuff, they can do whattever they want to their stuff

Who's that?

I wonder if its possible to jailbreak a Zune HD though.

Strange, they both have the same first name.
