Do you think the military will contain it? Sooner or later, they would reach the general population and soon outnumber them, thus making them zombies as well.
Realistically, if a zombie outbreak were to occur and the military got wind of it quick enough it would be contained and then covered up. No one would know because it would cause mass panic. If it got to a large scale the military would just start bombing highly infected areas and then clearing them out with ground troops.
It really is, you're stupid. If they're capable of complicated thought and are completely self aware then they aren't zombies.

Realistically it would be a severe case of rabies
they'd want to live a normal life without discrimination, and be able to marry other zombies.and churches would be protesting against letting zombies live.
