Auto-Locking Topics

I know I am not the only one pissed off by idiots bumping old topics that need to be kept dead.
Therefore, I propose that we get an auto-topic locker for the forums. These would be triggered after a certain topic gets to a certain page number.

For example, if I made a Gallery topic, and it slipped to, say, page 10. It would then be automatically locked, by default.

But wait! What if the topic owner has been away from the forums for a month while his/her topic gets to page 10? Well then, they can just manually unlock it. So if they care about it, they can bump it or whatever, provided that they get back before 3 months is up and no one can comment.

There's a "Too old" limit so why not just bump that up a bit.

Well, that's different, because that completely locks out any users:

Locking just prevents idiots from re-bumping.

I only think that topic should be locked if you try to post in them, and they say "Topic is too old."

If there was a auto-lock at page 10 for every topic; We'd have over 100 minecraft/haven&hearth topics.
