Downloading CS:S off of steam. Any tips?

I just bought Counter Strike Source off of steam, and it looks very fun, yet it looks like it has a learning curve. Does anyone have any tips for a new player like me? Also, inb4shootpeople and inb4shoothostages.

Tip: Don't die

If you see enemies, be careful, they might shoot you. Try dodging behind cover, but be careful, crates can shatter. Your guns can shoot and kill, but be careful, they can run out of ammo, or not even do enough damage to kill your enemy before you can kill them. Grenades can help, but be careful, throwing them in tight rooms or at something nearby you can hurt or blind you. Buying guns can help you do better, but be careful, you might want to save some for body armor.

1. aim at heads.
2. know the map and where combat is really heated in those maps.
3. choose kelvar and helmet, and pistol before a rifle when low on cash
4. watch out for hackers...
5. Stay away from the guys with the AWPs-unless you plan on becoming one of them.
6. control spray.
7. have fun!

Tip: Body shots do 3 damage, headshots do 3,000. So aim for the head

Tip: Find a server that you don't have one life in the practice. If you are constantly dead, how will you get better?

Dont buy Kevlar, buy smoke flash and HE grenades and a USP (if you are on terrorist, its pretty cheap), but that silencer on and go full tactical mode
