Well, I think he is saying Amal that will work with the bike. In the old tron, it's cut into a grid that the bikes travle along. So the map would line up with the bikes travle grid, thus making love map 'nd add_on unity!
But in the new TRON, the bikes move freely. So they can just move about all over the place. Anyway, in one of the trailors, there is a scene where one if them are being hunted. It shows detail in the map, so why not kind of do a remake of it? Just a slate?
