A long time ago, back in 2004, Apple had barely any money. They built their new fancy iPods and they needed a mass marketing company to sell them.
So who do they ask?

Uh huh. :D
Originally, HP planned on launching a little device called the Pavilion Personal Media Player (PMP) but it was cancelled due to failed focus groups.
So on January 8th, 2004, HP says "Sure Apple, we'll sell your funny little music player." They pre-installed iTunes on every HP/Compaq computer at the time to fit the bill.
Then, HP says "Well if we're going to sell it, we might as well add the feature to buy it in the color of HP Blue, to match the company."
Apple says "NO. WHITE ONLY. THIS IS OUR DEVICE, NOT YOURS. You can have a teeeeeeeny, tiney little logo on the back that nobody will notice though. It's not like you're
included in this deal or something."
So while Apple never set up Genius bars for HP iPods, they left HP do make a repair service for them. Eventually HP got sick of it.
On July 29, 2005 HP terminated the deal with Apple because
they were only getting 5% of the deal. Because of this, Apple then says HP isn't allowed to make any iPod competing device until 2006 or else
they'll sue. After that, HP Partnered up with RealNetworks and helped out Microsoft's Zune by selling them from their website.
tl;dr
Apple are a bunch of selfish pricks who could never be compared in trust to any other caring PC company or marketing branch. It just goes to show how much nicer some companies can be, like HP.
