I love Microsoft and have used windows on every computer I have had (I have used linux too but that is not the point). Keep in mind that she is 87 and apple makes their operating systems for handicaps.

I also do not think that your Grandma is going to go rip some COD with her brothers.

I am going with Mac.

Since when are macs "User Friendly"? Lack of right click makes it a forget fest to navigate.

Despite the fact you idiots think that she should buy it just because it has games.

1. Retired people have the money to buy a mac.

2. She's a loving grandma, a user friendly thing with less viruses is perfect for her.

3. Why the forget would a 60-80 year old grandma play counter strike source?
You nearly re-worded what I said previously.

But if your  grandmother is smart enough to stay away from sketchy websites and knows how to use her AV, then go ahead and buy a PC.

Oy, forgethead, I have a few macs in my house and they have a goddamn right click.

And you're not following the rules. You must have a good point for Mac.

Well only good thing I can say about Mac. Actully no, not Mac. Just generally Apple. The reason I don't hate Apple is because Bill Gates stole most of Apple's tech. Apple was the visionary but Microsoft had the brains.

Lol wut? This is like the third time someone has sig'd something I said.

You guys are really bias against macs even though user friendly display is important for computers. But apparently something that isn't a bitch to figure out for someone new to computer's is, "Bad".

You all suck.

well it's not a compliment, that was one of the most handicapped posts ever

PC:
--Pros--
- Faster
- Can do leagues more, in terms of performance
- Loads cheaper

--Cons--
- Not good for people who've never used any kind of computer before
- More potential to become infected with viruses (nevertheless for a very substantial reason)
- More hardware (this can be good in some cases, though)

Mac:
--Pros--
- User-friendly
- Good for graphic designers and audio/video editors
- Not nearly as much hardware (can be a downside in some situations, though)

--Cons--
- Unbelievably expensive
- Lacking in some vital performance (although as others have said, I highly doubt your grandmother is going to be playing/using graphic-and-processor-intensive games/programs)

How so?

anyone with half a brain knows macs have right click?

Not most of them. I'm old school. I haven't touched a mac in years.

All of them that were made in like, the last 10 years? Really I'm not sure how long they've had right click but... long enough. Plenty long.

The main problem with the performance in games on the mac is that the operating system 2 years ago was not designed for gaming. The hardware is fine. Look at their 6 8 and 12 core processors bra.

The reason their processes are so so fast is because Mac's gui rapes the stuff out of your cpu. That's probably why Macs are so expensive, to pay for all the CPU.
