I would rather die eventually. Live longer? Sure. But not immortality.

Already posted, and he was thinking on the Human level. It would be nice to be the oldest living organism in the Universe, if there isn't one right now.

Personally, I wouldn't wish to become immortal.  Why? Imagine living forever, doing everything possible, and impossible to human beings. To just fully understand the human mind and how it works, by watching the whole world fail, and fail endlessly. I say it's fun for the first 500 years or so... but after you're tired of watching you loved ones die, and suffer that pain.. It's simply unimaginable. But the worst part would be doing everything, and not knowing what to do anymore. It would become extreme boredom.
And that, will simply not do.

Personally, I wouldn't wish to become immortal.  Why? Imagine living forever, doing everything possible, and impossible to human beings. To just fully understand the human mind and how it works, by watching the whole world fail, and fail endlessly.  It's not like the Q's, it will take a long time for you to even get to a nearest star. You'll need to wait for the first warp engines, and even then you won't have enough time to explore the universe before the 20 billion mark.
