I am in the process of making a model for a add-on -->

I'm working on a Wrench right now and im pretty proud of it since I'm still a pretty novice modeler.
What im trying to go for is a kind of "Idle" animation while your not doing anything.
like slight hand movement, floating up and down.
but all the tutorials I've found have to do with character models and other things that have joints.
This doesn't have any joints :\ and if it needs them i have no idea where to put them.
Basically, can someone point me tword a tutorial for what im looking to do?
Or explain it with all your might.
