Author Topic: Free Calling to US From Gmail  (Read 1479 times)

Its awesome, though temporarily free.
You can go to your Gmail account, and click "Call Phone" then simply dial the number. For at least the rest of the year, calls to the US will be free :)

If you have a gmail account you can just log in like youre going to check your email. I dont see why they would apply it to other accounts ;o

No need, I did already.
Ok, thank you. I didn't want to run upstairs and tell her anyway.

We overpay for AT@T anyway.

WE COULD NOT COMPLETE YOUR CALL TRY AGAIN

EVERY TIME

"We’re rolling out this feature to U.S. based Gmail users over the next few days, so you’ll be ready to get started once “Call Phones” shows up in your chat list"

After spending nearly a hour trying to figure out why this wouldn't work (including installing the voice plug-in several times) I notice that on the bottom of the google post.  I did get to talk to my cousin a bunch though, so it wasn't all a loss.

Can't wait till it does roll out for me though since I use google voice for texting all the time and would like to make and receive calls from it too.

There was some iCall which let's you call any US number for free.

US and Canada.

It's funny how no one mentioned Canada.
Also I don't know anyone in the US.
