No. You can see a little triangle over the enemy and you can't go prone so they're redundant.

Only when the enemy has been marked by you/another player. Other then that someone can hide pretty well.

Magnum ammo is such a cheap ass thing to use, and shotguns too.

Magnum ammo isn't cheap at all, and shotguns take more skill then you think, especially with sabots at longer range.

I don't use magnums usually because I generally don't like them but I can see why some people do.. kind of.

Somebody doesn't realize magnum is a kind of ammunition and not a gun.

Sebster you don't seem to have a clue what you're talking about, have you even played the game? Magnum Ammo is a straight up damage boost, there is nothing not to like about it. And shotguns in this game are ridiculously accurate for a videogame depiction. All shotguns but the 870 combat are OP as stuff, and the 870 is totally worthless.

Victory relies on teamwork
I miss the amount of chatter from the other Battlefield games, not hearing spotted enemies, command post notifications, new orders, people calling for a medic, etc.

You can snipe with shotguns in all games that have them.
You will just miss the majority of the time but oh well.

What I mean, is being so loving badass that you can snipe with a shotgun from across the map and kill somebody.

Magnum ammo is more of a range boost, with some extra damage. It's nice on rifles because you don't have to adjust so much for bullet drop.
But usually you're sacrificing some controllability on say SMGs or small rifles by using magnum ammo rather then the weapon specialization.

Personally I find body armor to be much worse. Pumping half a clip into somebody only to find they still have 10% of their health left when they kill you. :(
