Server Rating

I have a website that I use for random crap, and I was thinking, how would you like it if I used my Unlimited Bandwidth to make a server rating system?

It would rate based on the host.

It would show the stars next to the Server Name, and you have to be in-game to rate it.

You can rate up to 10 a day.

I think some people might be pissed if I did this, but, sounds fun.

Actually, forget the stars. How about a Like/Dislike system? Stars are evil.

Hi Pew it's Drood. Anyways, I think it sounds like a good idea. Just make it so hosts can't rate their own server and that people can't rate a server more than once. The past to would be a bad combination. Good luck!

Right.

I will keep a database of servers and BL_IDs.

Then every time someone votes, it will assign the BL_ID a server. Then when they try to vote again, it will check to see if they already have that server assigned. If true, it will not count.

I won't allow Hosts to vote.

I will use a thumbs up/down system.

Hi Pew it's Night Fox. Anyways, I think it sounds like a really good idea. Just make it so hosts can't rate their own server and that people can't rate a server more than once. The past two would be a really bad combination. I wish you good luck.

Good idea. Provided enough honest players vote on a server, the obscurely abused votes won't make too much difference to the rating.
