Re-Started Modelling - Decent weapon model?

In the past, most of my models have been completely useless and all weapons I have submitted (2) have been failed. Recently, I decided to try again and make some decent models, gave up, made a nice map, and came back.



A couple of days ago, I made this and was planning to add a script and make it a kind of flamethrower but with gas instead of fire. However, I decided, based on past experience, that it would probably be better to get critCIAm BEFORE making it into a full addon.

Basically, is the model any good?

If this has anything to do with the non-hexagonal nature of the model, that is now supposedly sorted.

Pics updated. Remade model, but without the backpack thing. Gas tank now on top of model like a sniper scope.

Based on the places the lines point to, the barrel of the gun needs detail, and as usual, the handle looks awful.

Can anyone give me ANY advice on how to make a good handle.
