Basically City RP's are unrealistic for various reasons. Heres my plans:
First of all, everyone should spawn with a Hammer and a Wrench.
Clothing: Start how your character looks like when you join the mini-game, and be able to buy more, and have a clothing saver (the jobs should have certain uniforms, like a cop should be, well, a cop uniform.
Food: The current (as of 9/1/10) food mod is good, but prices should be more cheap. Who pays $20 for a burger?
Buildings and Lots: The current (as of 9/1/10) building is good, but should be more expensive, unless you are in the ghetto or something... but still more expensive.
Crime and Cops: You should not be able to see who kills who, as in real life, you don't. instead there should be handcuffs that cops can put on people by walking up to them and activating the blockhead, not allowing them to close their inventory, or throw the handcuffs away (ctrl w), kind of like the football. When handcuffs are activated, the cop should receive a key. Like the normal one, but silver to avoid confusion. On activation of the handcuffed blockhead, they should be released. If the cop dies, they should re-spawn with the key. Also, there should be no name tags above the head, to ensure that the victim of a crime is not going to say "So-and-so killed me!" if they know, they should be able to act as a witness to the crime, describing the clothing and face, also a reason for the clothing. There can be interrogation rooms and court sessions for the crimes and jail time (ticks). Cops in general should have handcuffs, s taser, and a basic gun, but that is up to the server administrator.
Ticks: Pay days should be every 7 days, like a realistic weekly payday.
Criminals: Regular criminals should spawn with no weapon. Criminals above the first level (the standard criminal) should spawn with an ax or other basic melee weapon, and the highest having a basic gun, but everyone with a lock-pick, which again is the administrators choice.
Other Jobs: The current (as of 9/1/10) jobs are fine with me.
That is the plan. I have the idea, now I need a scripter/modeler. Any problem? Tell me.
