Author Topic: The worst space-hogging / badly organized folder in your computer  (Read 3280 times)

C:\WINDOWS\Installer is 36 GB, full of mostly Windows Installer Packages and Patches. Its taking up a quarter of my hard drive(yes i know, small hard drive)

how to clean out?

My Documents is my stuff folder where I put everything.

It's full of folders that just loop around.
It really is practically a maze.
Also have files in there named "research" which open a ton of command prompts.
I'm guessing the command prompts switch you back to where you started?

My "-" folder in the very corner of everything in my computer.

My Pictures is the most badly organized.
My Add-On's folder is second.

I while ago I checked my Fraps folder and it had about 60 gigs worth of random clips. About 3000 (Or 300, I forget) of them, all about 20-30 seconds with some longer ones here and there. I then proceeded to remove the Fraps recording hotkey. :s

My stuff is organized, I have folders inside of folders inside of folders and stuff.

I wish I could show you guys the research folder I put together, it was broken down into specific sections for quick access to something specific and had duplicates of everything in an all folder for a slideshow. But then I deleted it.

It was glorious.

Blockland folder, full of stuff i need to get rid of

Documents\Downloads

Theres at least 10 of every imaginable file-type, so much that I had to make a sub-sub folder, which eventually got destroyed with multi-file types too.

I clean out my downloads folder once I'm done with the downloaded Item. Most of the time I just move stuff to a different folder. My downloads folder is empty 90% of the time.

I literally have a folder on my desktop called "Everything Else," and as the name says, it's just a folder where I put random stuff that I don't have another place for, and that I don't think I should delete just yet. It's not "space-hogging," per se, it's just really unorganized, full of random pictures and files.
