I'm thinking about canceling the contest. I got 2 people in the course of 7+ hours to make an application. In addition, today was labor day so it shows that not very many people are intrested in joining in the contest. I'm going to form a community/clan of people that will do these kinda of contests on a regular basis (prize or no prize) in the future. I have to work pretty hard to get 20$ and I don't want to host a competition where only 3 people join.
Gartanium's 2010 Building contestWhat exactly is this? In a few weeks, I will be hosting something called Gartanium's 2010 Building contest.
This years theme will be futuristic town. This means that when you submit your application, and when you build your masterpiece on Sept. 25th, you will have to follow some guidelines.
In order to join the contest I will require you to build an application on my server before it starts. I will only allow 10 contestants to enter, so come around and build your app quickly!!!
Of course, the most important thing that matters to you is the prize. I will be rewarding the winner with a Blockland CD key or possibly a 20$ steam game. Before I host the contest I will have 20$ in reserve so that I can give you your prize after your creation has been judged, and the winners announced. Any one that is caught cheating will be immediately disqualified and get a perma ban from my server. If the winner of the contest is
found cheating, he/she will also be banned and the prize will be given to the runner up. Currently, I don't have any admins and I will keep it that way during the contest so that no admin will
try to mess with your build.
Guidelines:1. No one may help you with your build in any way (this doesn't include your friends/family members behind your computer as I can't stop them from helping you build.) besides advice.
2. Your build must consist of no more than 5,000 bricks. Anyone with more then 5,000 bricks will ether have their build destroyed, part of it destroyed, or removed from the contest.
3. You must build on your assigned area.
4. Your build can be what ever your idea is of a future house.
5. Do not harass other competitors. Be a good sport.
6. If for any reason you leave the server during the competition, your build will remain and you may come back later. If you aren't at the judging, you will be disqualified.
7. Only one Id per key is allowed per server. This means that you can't log into multiple times with the same blockland account and join my server.
8. You must use common sense on my server.
9. The area that you build on must be a 64x64 base plate. (unless you are on the application server which can be as small as a 32x32 area)
10. In the application servers, I will not be able to assign everyone a spot so make sure that your build is aligned to everyone else.
How does judging work? Judging will work based on three category's.

I have yet to find any judges to judge this years Building Contest. I will only let respected members, and people with good building taste judge. If I can't find anyone to judge this event I will judge it myself. On a last note, I will have very few addons, so please do not complain about me not having your "favorite brick".
News:
Today I had two people build an application and two people try to be a judge. If I don't get more people building an app on Thursday I'm going to cancel the competition.
