I'm planning on creating a mod that allows you to select a server from the list, and if it is full, it will ask you if you want to keep trying to join that server. This will keep sending requests, and once a spot opens up, you join auto. So instead of clicking, joining, closing full window, repeat, you just sit and relax.

Sounds like it'd spam the server with join requests and lag the use.

Maybe it would keep checking the master server and if there is a spot it will quickly send a request?

Also, how would I find the name, players, ping, etc from the server?

Well even if I don't make it, I still wish to know how to get server info from the master server.

I think it would be a ok add-on, It would be wise to see If It doesn't lag servers up while doing so.

Maybe a mod that would attempt to join a server, if it is unable to, try again 10 seconds after. This would then loop until canceled or until the client joins.

what if you join another game while you wait ?

A few people making connection requests to a server will not lag it - it'd be fine.

Keep the connection interval somewhere around 1 second though - nothing ridiculous.
