CS:S Freezes on Loading [FIXED]

It freezes just before the main menu comes up, and I can't ctrl+alt+delete out.  I tried reinstalling and deleting and reinstalling GCFs and BLOB files, and it's not working, updating the video card doesn't help either.
Help?

Not exactly Crysis material, but it runs games pretty well.

Just added -safe and -windowed to launch options and reset my video options, thanks to all who helped!

1st go to your game library

2nd left click on css

3rd click properties

4rth go to the local files section and click verify integrity of game CASHE  Follow the steps and your done

Goto steam - right click CSS - properties - set launch options - dxlevel 9
If that doesn't work, try dxlevel 8 down to 6.

Theres your problem.

You computer itself is probably taking all of that memory, opening anything else causes it to either freeze or shut down.
