Author Topic: Medal of Honor to be banned from PX/NEX store shelves?  (Read 3839 times)

It seems that they are banning it due to the offensive Taliban multiplayer team which kills US troops, which I don't see, but I guess the military would because it's soldiers are so stressed already. They are also not selling it on On-Base Gamestops, although they are allowed to buy off-base.

I've never heard of the military banning a game from it's store shelves....

I don't get this. We use national socialist's, the Taliban, and any other of our worst est enemies in movies but they won't let them in games. They had real american operatives help them with the design of something for god sakes.

As far as I am awear, there is no Taliban campaign, only the online play where one side plays as them.

There is no "Taliban Campaign", the Taliban are simply the opposing force in multiplayer. CoD4/MW2 avoided controversy by changing the name to "OpFor".

random mother: My son(s) are dead booohooo! I can't seem to get it through my damn head that this is a video game boohoo!

I just remembered about that one game that was being worked on last year where you play as a soldier in some big battle where the US got slaughtered. It was supposed to have a big horror factor thing to it, but then all the mums bitched about it because their sons died in the battle so EA canceled it.

EA wasn't making it and it was a game based on Operation Phantom Fury, aka The Second Battle of Fallujah. The US didn't get slaughtered, there were 655 casualties, only 95 of them were deaths, rest were just wounded. There were close to 3k insurgent casualties, half of them deaths and the other half of them captured.

It was one of the most important victories for Coalition forces during the war in iraq, get your facts straight. The game was being made by Konami.
