Author Topic: Extremely weird sound coming from I don't loving know where  (Read 1878 times)

This started a couple hours ago. I was listening to some music on my laptop and all of a sudden, while the music's playing, I hear this really deep, slightly distorted voice say, "BRAINWASHED" in my headphones. I knew I heard it, but I didn't think much of it and kind of let it go.

Until just now.

I heard it again, this time there was absolutely no sound coming out of the computer. I have two Steam windows open (Friends and a chat window), iTunes, Chrome, two Windows Explorer windows, and Adobe After Effects.

What the forget is this stuff because it's really creepy. :(

record it

I'll try to, but no promises. I don't know when it'll happen again.

I have something like this.
First it's a very high-pitched hoooooo noise, like an old TV that's on. You know, that ambient sound old TVs make?
Well, it's that for about three seconds, then it becomes even more high-pitched, then emits a beep and stops entirely.
I hear this in my room ALL day.

Computer speakers seem to sometimes pick up radio signals(?) and such, Might be what's going on.

I've read story's of baby crying sounds emitting from people's speakers because of those baby cry detector things.

That's got to be pretty annoying.

I would think it's something like that if the sound wasn't clear as day, which it is. And if I were to pick up any radio signals, it would last longer than just saying, "BRAINWASHED."

Still trying to figure out how to record this; I think I've got it.

"got it" as in figured out how to record it or you have it recorded? Sounds creepy.

It's the aliens again, Just don't let the government know or they'll kidnap you.

Never heard this radio stations where everything is somehow quiet and out of all sudden their "special thing" is being announced and the announcer is loving loud?

When my computer was upstairs my speakers would pick up truckers radios so I put it downstairs. Could your speakers be victim to some cruel prank involving a walkie talkie or something? Kids these days do the darndest things ya know.

Figured out how to record it, but actually no, I don't "got it." WMCapture seems to not want to run properly, I think it's a problem with it not correctly recognizing my DirectX version. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling, and/or restarting my computer.

A recording might have to wait until tomorrow.

Also it just happened again. >:(

What type of headphone are you using?
