Would you LIKE to have Blckland as an app for iPod/Iphone despite any lag problems?

Ya sure.
No.
I don't got an iPod/iPhone :\

Phones take SD cards, so memory isn't to big of an issue.

he was talking about harddrive space. that yes an SD card can help with.
but that is NOT memory, of which blockland needs a ton to use, and iphones have like NONE.

SIM cards contain a minimal amount of storage, as their only purpose is to carry contacts and service profiles.  The information on a SIM card is unique to the customer and his or her provider.

microSD cards are pure flash storage, but do not contain internal memory controller, which is instead placed in the device.  Many memory cards function this way.

iPhones have a microSIM slot, but not a microSD slot.
They're both essentially forms of flash storage, the difference is in the capacities and functions of each.

The fact that they have barely have enough memory per SD card does raise issues. Maybe better SD cards would solve this problem, because stuff is so cheaply made today.

I'm pretty sure your right about that. But if I'm correct, I think SIM cards could support this with enough memory. Now, if you want to talk about other phones to compare this to them, I can gladly do so.

Flip phones won't support this, due to the controls being to primitive for gameplay. Any keyboard phones might be able to play this, but at a poor quality.

Androids might be able to support this enough for a decent enough gameplay. You got a touch screen gameplay and a keyboard that has an ALT button, opening up more commands. The Android also has internal memory and SD Card Memory, not SIM. Now for the other IPhones, I could help you there.

Where it could, by some chance, may be possible (I recall a Torque Engine port, or at least Game Builder port, to the iPhone a long time ago), there's no way you can play such an intricate game on such a tiny screen.

Besides, a demanding game like Blockland would wipe the battery out in an instant. Why do you think Apple dumped Flash? It wasn't to be 'oppressive', it was because Flash is very demanding.

It might be fine on purely feature phones like an Android (hooray! I can watch ads on my phone and have my battery die twice as fast!), I wouldn't want a game like this on a phone.

1) The thing with the Android is that there are apps that help save battery life.
2) True, the screens are small, but if people want this, then would be willing to use a smaller screen.

maybe blockland forum as an app but not the whole game >.<

Not the forums or the game, but the new RTB Chat System would be nice.

Everyone is discussing memory and disk space as if they are they are the reason you can't have a BL-like game on a phone. It appears none of you can conceive of anything but a direct port of Blockland to a mobile device. Has it not crossed your mind that a BL game for mobile devices need not be 3D or be anywhere near as complex or demanding as its desktop counterpart?

What exactly is a "feature phone"? Do Apple products lack features? Jests aside, the Flash software isn't included in the Android OS, but it is an available option. Even if it were standard, I think you'll find that features common to all smartphones (such as WiFi and GPS) are far more likely to drain your battery life quickly than using certain kinds of content-players.

Lol havent looked at this sinc 2010 :P But it looks like we're geting progress. An other idea would be the IRC Client as an app. Like said above by who ever it was. The irc client would make it better but then again, thats not the topic to discuss here rather than on the RTB fourms. It wont happen soon but you must admit it could happen.

You're a tad late on that.

Blockland on iPhone possibility as 3D:

iTorque 3D – We will be discontinuing iTorque 3D. In the future, we will not be pre-selling our new engines without absolute confidence of a QA date. We will be offering refunds to everyone who we can validate as a purchaser of iT3D. We are very happy to have our new owners (more on them in the first blog ) support on this – it’s the right thing to do.
so drop it pls

1. Install Blockland on your computer
2. Get an app to control your computer remotely (there are tons of 'em)
3. Connect to your computer remotely
4. ???
5. Profit

PS: Enjoy 6fps 3fps 1fps and super hard control
