If it's accurate to some point/better/can arc move to the middle and have the middle grunt go to the front so you have less chance getting killed.

Yes, we get that. But where? I'd say (boss fight experience GO!) shoot the tips of the tentacles and wait for the shielding on the eye to come off, then go into hypermode and shoot the crap out of it shoot it like crazy.
