You send an underwater pod containing the ship's most elite team of soldiers. A team that is a joint operation from the Iconians, Humans, Kalakarg, and Lacamptu, a team that has taken the Kresh on many times, a team that has fought in the Toraai border wars, and a team that I am actually giving some character development, goddamnit. ALAN SHEPARD
Race: Human
An average soldier at the military academy on Corbrillious, he was assigned to be in a standard squad of troopers. But, during the Iconian wars when he was stationed there, he proved himself way above what he had shown earlier during a siege by sneak attacking a whole battalion of Iconian troopers, and coming out unscathed. Since then he has always been in only the best squads, but is still a bit xenophobic towards Iconians.

He was a teenager during the Iconian wars who lived on a colony world that was always susceptible to a Human attack. One day, his homeworld was attacked and he found himself in his basement armory getting his trusty hunting rifle. When he came back outside, he found a small squad of Iconian shock troopers held up and in cover behind his car. Without having to think, he shot the remaining evil humans. After the battle, he received a shiny badge and decided to join the military.
EREO
Race: Kalakarg
Ereo was just an average student at the Combat Medicine Academy on Prometheus XII, until a surprise Kresh attack left him at the top of the class. Since then he has devoted his life to science, coming up with several new scientific and medical defenses, techniques, and cures that have been put to great use against the extragalactic menace. He also knows how to handle himself in a shootout, but prefers to keep the actual fighters alive than to do the dangerous work himself.

Race: Lacamptu
DX716 was birthed from facility H6-4. He led a basic lacamptu life until he hit his 12 anniversary of his creation. Since he was tired of his education facility's brutal principal, he and some friends sneaked aboard a freighter headed for Kalakagria, and saw the true horror of the kresh, when three kresh leviathans attacked the planet. He watched as the human and kalakarg forces decimated the kresh, but not without losses. He then made his choice to one day fight at the side of the people who fought at the battle.
