So, if you have played COD4 MW2 you would know that these are often called Claymores.

Anyways, what it would be is an item that you can equip, you would be holding it in front of you with the "Front Toward Enemy" facing away from you. When you clicked it would be placed on the ground there and the item removed from inventory. When A player passes infront of it (This would require the object to have its own "visible area" to detect) it would explode. Now, Claymores are highly directional, so to make that effect work is there a way that the claymore would spawn an explosion that was offset from it to simulate the explosion going in only one direction?

INFINITY WARD INVENTED PROXIMITY MINES

Make immense rows of defence mines.
Stand in middle.
Poeple go around and don't blow up.
You wonder why.
You walk a step an-
???
Profit

You could use zone events, but then it wouldn't be an item that you could actually drop...
Captain Obvious is outy

We know you can place objects on walls and stuff (The awesome C4 proves it)
I think it shouldn't be some silly looking Claymore COD thing.
What happened to good old fashioned black round plates with a red light in the middle?
Maybe even a landmine disarmer which you can use on it to deactivate it and pick it back up?

I got the Landmine from RTB2's archives a while ago.

I remember that. Fun times, too big and noticeable though.

INFINITY WARD INVENTED PROXIMITY MINES

Hey..
Hey you.

Most people use CoD or MW2 for refrences.. They arent saying " ____ COMS FRUM MW2"

Just wait for Gravity Cat to release his pack, it contains one.

The landmine should be about as big as a 2x2f round brick.
Maybe a bit smaller.

I want a more "Claymore" style one because it has more of a directional use.
Great indoors, because you can hide it around a corner then someone trips it. As for a defuse, that would be a bit stupid, why not just shoot it from behind to destroy it?

Because you can alert the enemy team that you have shot their mine and they come getyou

If you tried to mess with a claymore mine... It would just explode, there isn't very much 'smart' in the mine.

Plus, arnt the mines supposed to help you, not just not work because someone saw it before they tripped it?
