Author Topic: Half-Life movie?  (Read 4625 times)

To my understanding, you completely ignored my post.  I said that it would be CG, not by an outside director with live action stuff.  VALVE wants to make it.  Not another company.  And what about graphics?  How does that have any relevance?  And I said that it wouldn't revolve around Gordon.  As in it would revolve around events that were not shown in game.  Valve doesn't want to give Gordon a personality.

If Valve makes it, great. I'm sure they could do better then current directors. Like I said, good visual effects attracts some people. Not revolving around Gordon would really only work in Half-Life 2; I'm talking half-Life, where most of the other characters die. But why would they want to revolve around events that were not shown in game? And giving Gordon a personality is bad how? It would be nice to know more about the characters. Some people hate an overly complicated plot and characters you know absolutely nothing about.

Game Movies should never be made. Not now and not ever. Just look at the existing ones, horrible.
I can agree with this after I saw Doom.

All-in-all:
Half-Life and Modern Warfare 2 would probably do very well if made right.

Doom was a movie? :o

if there is going to be a gordon freeman
he better not have any lines

or like I said be the voice actor from freemans mind and it better be a comedy/action like freemans mind. IT WOULD BE PERFECT.

Or Gordon Freeman shouldn't be in the movie.

Alex get me my crow bar. It's head crab clobbering time. *Gordan then puts on shades and kill people while killing combine with 80's fighting music playing in the background.*

A movie based off a game still would be nice. But to make it work, at least for half-life 2, they would need a different plot. In the game there is a lot of waiting, setting up. But not for Half-Life or MW2.

half life: opposing force > half life 1 > everything > half life 2

I bet he sounds like House

I bet he has a really embarrassing high-pitch voice
