Yeah, apparently it was during the Spring (Easter), which has to do with the start of the longer days, and thus, the celebration for new life. In the video the narrator states that they did not celebrate this rising until this point in time.
I don't know what this information is directly pertaining to. Perhaps the Old Testament? Regardless, it's an explanation of your religion better than you have provided in this entire thread. I already said I can't do the video justice, you'll have to watch it yourself and comment on it then.
And, in all honesty, it is far more believable of an explanation of religion than simply, "the bible says its true so it must be true."
