The definition says that it is something widely regarded as true.
97.5% of the worlds population would likely believe in a form of creationism.

While this is hardly compelling due to humans being, for the most part, stupid, this fits the definition.
"A theory is an explanation of a set of related observations or events based upon proven hypotheses and verified multiple times by detached groups of researchers."

Doesn't really fit that, though. :S

I mean, yeah I could see it having some merit, but these verifications and observations are usually repeatable...

or until everyone decides to drop religion completely and tell god to forget off for making us so imperfect
You can't tell something you do not think exists to forget off. At this point you are insane and should be seeking a mental health facility.

I do not like that your quote uses detached as such, as the only way a theory would be valid is if say a marine biologist tested magnetism or something to the same effect. Everything is biased, and automatically the results change based on relativity.

As for repeatable, look at some creation theories by the Navajo. (or Anasazi, I forget). They show the world to have been created at least ten times. Its rather hard to repeat the creation of the world by the way, so you should give these guys some credit for their determination.

Because someone has to be either strictly religious or athiest?

I say im christian for the benefit because of the area i live in currently, but on the inside i honestly dont give two damns about religions.

So where would that put me, hmm?

i mean like religious people should do that

think of it, everyone rebels against god, what would he do? his entire point is to rule over us or something

or something
And thus you show your lack of comprehension over your argument.
At least I bother to educate myself over the blasphemies of your so-called explosions in space and micro-organism generating out of nucleic acid in one of the several forms of primordial earth with the possibility of exogenCIA from comets in Earth's early formation and all that mumbo-jumbo and your big words and stuff.

what? im just saying what would be a cool thing

im not trying to disprove you im just bringing up an interesting topic

Your mother is an interesting topic.

yes, those 52 years have been good to her

and if there really was a god would he really just make me burn in hell for not fully understanding him?

No he wouldn't. But this is where I begin to split from the mainstream Christian beliefs (Ironically so as it is commonly accepted that man can never fully understand god).

Checking in cuz I can't fall asleep.

Last time that happened, God flooded the Earth.

thats not very nice

couldn't he of just been like "hey guys let me show you something" and blew their mind

he didn't have to kill everyone

Well God tends to not be nice.  Especially in the old testament.  He turned Saul's wife and kids into pillars of salt because they looked at the city full of homos being blown up.

God sounds like an starfish. He needs to pack up and gtfo.

Since when is there only two real choices? I'm agnostic, that's not athetic and that's not religious (and it's not "undecided" either hurr).

Seriously, I don't understand why Christians still revere god after reading the bible. It makes him out to be a power-hungry, jealous, monster of a being. forget, even Lucifer is less of an starfish than god.
