I don't care.

I don't care where we came from of whether or not a magic man in the sky created everything. It has no effect on my day-to-day life and I'd rather spend my life doing productive things than worrying about pleasing a deity or worrying about where the universe came from.

the bible was written by like 300 people, and NONE of the writers were god's prophets.
im not surprised a christian would think otherwise though, most all Christians have no knowledge of their own religion's history.

Half of Genesis's account of the creation of the world was written by Moses, the other half is accumulated lore from Arab tribes of the time period. (note, there are two separate descriptions of the creation of mankind. The earlier not even mentioning Adam and Eve) Other old testament books are collections from a few Jewish peoples, most of them likely law makers and Priests working on ways to better manage the society through literature and divine practice. The various new testament books were written by their attributed authors, yes, however only Peter and that other guy were actually alive during the time of Jesus. John and Paul both came after (over 100 years in the case of John), yet they authored the most books.

Also also, the King James version of the Bible was written and translated by Shakespeare.
