I has good news.
Thanks to my new computer, I have renewed ability to host. Wehr and I have discovered that my server is so much more stable on my new Compaq in Windows 7.
I think I can make this work now I can host more. The problem with Ascii before was that I didn't host, and a clan looks to its leader for a server.
Starting effectively Ascii will be operating again under a new philosophy:
- Nobody is expected to host, the leader (aka IcyGamma) is responsible for the upkeep of a main server
- Ascii only accepts people with decent building or eventing ability, we no longer tutor people (unless they have some base knowledge)
Other policies for the reopening of the clan are:
- Most members are being booted starting now due to no contact for a long time or the need to reprove their building ability
- The application system will be recrafted to be more involved
