I'm thinking of getting it, is it worth it?
What are system reqs, is it better than most generic FPSs? is there a shop system?
How is gameplay, players, all that stuff.

Ontopic: I'd get it just for the sake of having the models and materials, the community is stuff, gameplay is generic. But, the minigame and surf maps are always fun.

There is a shop system, kinda basic actually. You gain money through objectives and kills, and you press b to access the shop screen

No, there are many differences. For one thing CSS uses the Half-Life 2 Source Engine while CS uses the Half-Life 1 Gld Src Engine. CSS also has physics, incredibly higher detail models and textures, and a very active modding community. So go with Counter-Strike Source or nothing.

Cause of nostalgia/ Gameplay makes the game.  They are cheap.
