Author Topic: Supersize Me  (Read 7797 times)

I'm making smoothies every day because they taste nice, I amn't losing any weight or size though.
Smoothies don't magically make you lose weight. Only a combination of proper nutrition and regular exercise results in healthy controlled weight management.

If anyone has any question about nutrition or exercise they should ask me through PM or by posting in my MEN thread.

Precisely.
I don't excercise and don't really plan to either. I cycle a lot and run around a lot though, so even though it isn't predefined excercise, I should be getting some sort of bonus.

It means jack stuff if you aren't eating properly really. For example, an hour of hardcore bicycling is wasted if you pig out at a fast food place.

So I have been eating carrots for 30 days now, my doctor said that I am going to die, but I don't believe him, because carrots are healthy!

I don't eat fast food because it makes me sick.

My diet is:
2 sandwiches for lunch. Ham, mayonaise and butter. I use white or brown bread, whatever's there.
Dinner. That's usually 3 potatoes, some kind of green vegetable, and meat, usually steak or chicken.
Late meal for myself.  Usually noodles or some home made pancakes c:
2 litres of water.
A smoothie or two if I'm not lazy. All kinds of fruit are used here.

And that's all I eat daily. I don't eat sweets because I hate sweet tasting things.. apart from maple syrup. I don't eat fast food because it makes me sick.

Yet I still have a beer belly. I'm quite strong though, and kind of tall.

Because if burger with all the components you also have at home is sold at place labeled as "fast food restaurant", it's instantly bad.

Restaraunts buy the worst meat or food that you can possibly buy on the market, becuase it's cheap.

If I buy a burger in a restaraunt, I'm probably eating something that has 30% meat content, and loads of hydronated vegetable fat, processed cheese and various other stuff. The catering business is stuff. Don't eat out unless you know the person who buys the food.

Because you know how the meat products sold at store have been processed. Main ingredients for burgers are pretty much the same, unless you compose the meat piece in it yourself.
Stuff here is pretty much the same at stores and restaurants, good quality, so I'm fine.

Now that video isn't entirely accurate.
Some guy actually lost weight eating nothing but McDonald's for 6 months.
It wasn't hard either.

Please note, I am not advising a McDonald's diet. Just stating some facts. It probably isn't healthy to eat at McDonald's more than twice a month. (If you're getting the Big Mac or other such foods.)

McDonalds' meat probably has disgusting stuff in it, but boy, it tastes good.
I still prefer fast food places more near to my home, their burgers are bigger and better. c:

Hell yeah.

If I had to pick a favorite fast food restaurant (Major) it would probably be Hardees.

He still ate at McDonalds only. He had 3 of the meals a day. He also did not do any excercise.

42-year-old ate mostly salads and wraps
Yeah. Salad can make you lose weight you know.

It wasn't hard either.
From the website:
Cons:
# Eating McDonald's every day
# Expensive
# Regular diet of fast food proven to have detrimental health effects

So you eat fat-rich food for all meals, don't exercise and then are surprised when gaining weight and getting health problems?

Watched that movie in Health class. It is about a guy eating only Mcdonald's for 30 days, all 3 meals in the day. It talks about the badness of fastfood, porkers, and supersize fries/coke. I do not want to go to mcdonalds now.
You left out the part where he was perfectly fine because he ate the proper proportions of food.  His only problem was that eating fast food 3 meals a day was inconvenient for him.

He actually lost weight

No, he gained 25 pounds. It took him forever to loose it.

Thanks for the replies.
