Animation program?

Yeah, so I'm thinking of learning to animate stuff.  Anyone know a good, free animating program?  I don't want to spend 200+ bucks on something Adobe made.

EasyToon's pretty simple, but doesn't have many good tools. To be honest I'm not much of a genius in this area but I use GIMP to make .gifs.
