So, I've been thinking, looking at pictures and videos, etc. and wondering: Should I buy Borderlands?
I can also buy any DLC.

IMO It was fun until beaten twice. Then I stopped playing, even with the DLC.
It's really fun and all, but has no re-play value to me at all.

But once again that's my opinion, and I learn good games by trial and error. So I think you should get it, have fun with it for a while, then like every game, It will get boring at some point.

Also ending is wtf.

do you have ps3 or xbox?
Anyway,It is fun,and with friends, its more fun.

It's only really worth it if you have other friends who are at the same level, otherwise they'll get steamrolled/will curb stomp everything when playing in your game. Not much replay value either, though it's fun while it lasts.

Not very fun with friends considering they take all the loot, and if they are even one level above you, they automatically butt-rape you in a dual or like said above, steam roll through the whole level if too high of a level.

No. It's boring. Most of the time you're either traveling to get something or searching around a place looking for things. SOMETIMES you have to kill things, And other times you have to kill really hard bosses that can be easily killed by camping.

Awesome game, but much better when you have a friend or two to play with. All of the DLC are pretty awesome as well, but the Secret Armory was the most hilarious.

I'd get something else if I were you.

Yes, it is an RPG. However, I don't know what you mean by "SOMETIMES", I battle through hordes doing the objectives. The bosses are awesome, but you can't really camp them. If you find it a way, it must be a lot more difficult than just fighting them (this makes me think you've never actually played the game). Overall, the game is HEAVILY improved by DLC, but it's already a pretty decent game if you like RPGs, but not so much if you're JUST an FPS player.

If you like or don't mind mild repetition, then go for it. The quests get stale, the story doesn't move it along fast enough, and the guns are basically the same even though it says they're randomly generated.

3rd Post in this thread but I agree with this, however I find the story moves fine.

Has no replay value whatsoever.

Has no replay value whatsoever.
This, it was such a disappointment at the end I couldn't bare to go through it again.

I disagree entirely, I've beat it like 6 times.

I have it on 360 and have all but the newest dlc, I liked secret armoury and zombie island the best and I found the underdome to be a bit hard without other people
