I just read the second page. So there's a test you have to do that includes building and flying, or can you choose one of those tests? I am confused.

Nope, you don't have to build at all.

All you have to do is a flying test with the biplane, and if you get anything above C, you're a respected member.

Getting D means you start as "Trainee".

F means you suck.
